What is the timeframe for requesting medical records?
Typically, physicians provide medical records in a timely manner. Legally, they have 15 days from the time you provide a written request to supply copies of the requested medical records. If your physician does not provide records within that time frame and becomes unresponsive to follow up inquiries, you can submit a complaint to the Medical Board.
