What are the different sources for HEDIS data collection?
There are three types of HEDIS data collection. These include:
- Administrative: Measures the claims for office visits, procedures, pharmacy data, and hospitalizations
- Hybrid: If not enough information is provided in administrative data, the data from member’s medical records can be included in the analysis
- Patient Survey: Data collected through a survey on patient satisfaction conducted by the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS)
